The Myeloma Institute Intake Office schedules first-time appointments for new patients.

You can contact us directly to arrange an appointment, or your referring physician can contact us.

New patient appointments are typically scheduled within two weeks of the initial request for an appointment. It is advisable for patients to be seen as quickly as possible, preferably before receiving treatment elsewhere. This maximizes treatment options for the best possible outcome.

Please have this information available when you contact the Myeloma Institute Intake Office:

  • Name
  • Address
  • Phone number
  • Date of birth
  • Health insurance
  • Diagnosis and date of diagnosis
  • Treatment history

The intake coordinator who talks with you will send you a packet of information about a first-time appointment. Included with the packet are maps and a list of area hotels for those coming to Little Rock from out of town. The coordinator will advise you (or your physician if he/she calls) about medical records that you should bring with you.

The staff at the Myeloma Institute will work in close collaboration with your local physician.  Reports based on clinic visits and hospitalizations are sent to your physician on a regular basis. In addition, your local doctor can view your progress information through EpicCare Link, a secure portal that connects him/her to our electronic medical record (EMR) system for reviewing your records. In addition, once you become a patient at the Myeloma Institute you have access to MyChart, an internet-based service that gives you access to your medical information, such as test results.
