Topic: Documentary Film Company Searching for Myeloma Patients
Who Are Taking Thalidomide
Date: August 10, 2005
Mobilus Media, a documentary film
company, is researching and developing a possible feature film
project on thalidomide. They are at a very early stage and have
been speaking with those whose lives have been affected by
thalidomide: doctors, journalists and authors, throughout the
world.
They are looking for people to share their stories and are
particularly interested in hearing from people who have taken or
are currently taking thalidomide as part of their medical
treatments. If any of you are facing new questions about the use
of the drug for cancer relief, or if you are in a period of life
transition, that would be of great interest to them as well.
To find out more about the work that they do, visit
www.mobilusmedia.com or
www.make-do-productions.com. Sandy McLeod, the director, has
been nominated for an Academy Award in the documentary category
for her piece "Asylum" and Karen Bernstein, the producer, has won
an Emmy and a Grammy for work done with a PBS series called
"American Masters."

Bernstein at
