New patient appointments can usually be scheduled within two weeks of the initial request for an appointment. It is advisable for patients to be seen as quickly as possible, preferably before receiving treatment elsewhere. This maximizes treatment options for the best possible outcome.

Myeloma Institute Nurses are available to:
- Answer questions regarding your current treatment
- Identify and evaluate any new symptoms or worsening of existing symptoms
- Provide information so you can make an informed health-related decision
- Recommend next steps, and if necessary, refer you to a representative who can schedule an appointment for you
Myeloma Institute Social Workers:
The Myeloma Institute’s social workers provide emotional support to patients and their loved ones through individual, family and group therapy. They also can assist you with financial aid counseling, housing and transportation guidance, referrals for allied healthcare services, and information on support programs.
The Myeloma Institute welcomes patients from all over the world to Little Rock, Arkansas for specialized care that features the latest in treatments. The UAMS Special Services International Division provides assistance with traveling and staying in Little Rock to international patients and their families. The Special Services staff also assists with financial arrangements for international patients.
